A little about me......

As you can see by my pictures, I enjoy being active, healthy and happy. I have been in the health and fitness industry since 1997 doing what I have a passion for.......helping people be healthy, get healthy or get back to what they love doing. I had a personal training business in Kansas City which inspired me to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. After graduating PTA school, I moved to San Diego to lead an active lifestyle where I can be outdoors all year round. In 2008, I decided to continue my education in Pilates, achieving my Polestar Pilates certification for Rehabilitation in 2009. One of the many things that has attracted me to Pilates is the natural flow that goes hand in hand with rehabilitation. It is a pleasure to teach people how to become more in tune with their body and how to move in a more functional way. This could mean just getting through the day with less aches and pains, coming back from an injury or improving for your favorite activity or sport. I am not your average Pilates Instructor, I will encourage you to slow your movements down and take the time to explain what you are doing so your body can learn to move more efficient, this way you will become aware of what your body is doing. I look forward to meeting you soon!
